About 1,000 species of bats inhabit our planet and 20 different kinds live in California alone. Each has its own behavior and roosting preferences. In California and Nevada we have both hibernating and migratory bats. Pups(baby bats) are nursed by their mothers. We do not perform exclusions during maturnity season so as not to trap flightless young bats inside.
The U.S. government does not allow any chemicals to be used to kill bats, and rightfully so, since their contribution to the agriculture industry is well documented. However...
