Hello, my name is Ken Clacher. I am a California State Licensed Pest Control Operator. However, I have devoted much time to the study of bats, contributing to various television specials about bats. I have also appeared on the Discovery Channel and have worked with and continue to work with researchers and educators around the country.
During the last 17 years, I have safely excluded bat colonies ranging from a few dozen to several thousand from high rises, schools Warehouse buildings, apartments and single-family homes to hospitals. Most recently I worked on the Ahwahnee Hotel located in Yosemite Valley, a national historic landmark. At another location, a large hospital had bats entering into their intensive care facility on the 5th floor. Patients were pretty shaken up when bats started flying around in some of their rooms. Within 2 days of my receiving the call from the hospital, the bats were gone.
